Prediction 1: All major AI companies will quietly shutter their alignment divisions and AI alignment will vanish. Prediction 2: Elon Musk will lose his legal battle to stop OpenAI from becoming a for profit company. Prediction 3: OpenAI will make the largest IPO of this century. Prediction 4: China will develop a more sophisticated reasoning model than any being developed by a US based company. Prediction 5: Meta will fall badly behind in the race to develop AGI and seek to buy back into the race via strategic partnership. Prediction 6: Humanoid robotics companies will fail in their efforts to create general utility robots for personal/individual use. Prediction 7: Copyright lawsuits against AI companies for using material for training data will get bogged down in court and go nowhere. Prediction 8: Large scale cyber-security breaches featuring customized attacks on individuals will become the new norm costing hundreds of billions in loses in 2025. Prediction 9: The US will NOT form or fund a Manhattan Project style initiative to develop or attempt to control AGI. Prediction 10: Agnetic AI will emerge as a powerful economic force in late 2025 paving the way for massive economic disruption in the labor market in 2026.
